Thinakaran Lab - Cell Biology of Alzheimer's Disease

I am a sophomore majoring in Biology and minoring in Psychology on the pre-medical track. I’ve always had an interest in medicine and the idea of helping people, which shaped my interest in pursuing a career in that field. My curiosity for molecular mechanisms deepened after completing a literature review on the genetic factors that influence Alzheimer’s disease. I joined the Thinakaran lab to expand my knowledge around neurodegenerative diseases and build strong research skills to help contribute to improving patient care in the future.
